Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the input and supplies its results. Christian County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related communication. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard server and analytics logs may collect technical facts about a visit.
- Device IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when supplied
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that help measure use, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers may combine traffic data for reporting. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data supports limited operational purposes.
- Delivering and maintaining the site
- Passing a search request to the selected partner
- Measuring which content is useful
- Finding performance faults and security problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Christian County Criminal History does not build, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Office of Christian Circuit Court Clerk, Christian County Sheriff, Christian County Jail, Kentucky State Police, AOC court-report channels, Kentucky corrections, and the KSP Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search tools. Their privacy notices, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to them. Review the provider's terms before sending a query because Christian County Criminal History cannot set or control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kentucky courts, the sheriff, jail, police departments, state agencies, statutes, or private services. The destination's privacy policy applies after leaving this site. Read it before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing is controlled by those companies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be available to the following recipients when needed.
- Search providers that process a submitted query
- Analytics companies that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that serve page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect data handled by the site. Internet systems still carry risk, so absolute security and the prevention of every unauthorized event cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone younger than 18. Data identified as belonging to a minor will be removed when a valid request establishes the issue.
Your Data Rights
Kentucky's Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, governs qualifying requests to public agencies, and KRS 17.151 addresses state criminal-history maintenance and dissemination. Those laws concern government records and do not turn this private site into a public custodian. Subject to applicable law and identity verification, a visitor may:
- Ask what personal information the site maintains about them
- Request correction of inaccurate visitor data
- Ask for deletion where retention is not required
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
